Parley Ocean Bags

Made with parley Ocean Plastic® COLLECTED BY OUR GLOBAL CLEANUP NETWORK, PARLEY OCEAN BAGS HELP AVOID SINGLE USE PLASTIC WHILE FUNDING FUTURE CLEANUPS

Over a trillion plastic bags are consumed annually worldwide. Each is used on average for just 12 minutes before being discarded. By choosing reusable bags over single-use, anyone can be a part of the solution and help drive the Parley AIR Strategy: Avoid. Intercept. Redesign.

Developed by Parley and available in a range of colors, each Parley Ocean Bag is created from approximately five intercepted plastic bottles and funds the removal of a further 10 pounds of marine plastic debris by our Global Cleanup Network. Each bag is made with Ocean Plastic® and folds into pocket-sized pouch, making it easy to carry with your everywhere to avoid single-use plastic bags.

In 2019, we launched a series of limited-edition Artist Edition bags designed by some of the world’s leading artists. Each exclusive bag funds the removal of 20 pounds of plastic, and with the range now carried in fashion boutiques, museums and art galleries globally the series helps spread awareness for the oceans movement.

To date, contributors and collaborators include Doug Aitken, Walton Ford, Jenny Holzer, Pipilotti Rist, Ed Ruscha, Julian Schnabel, Rosemarie Trockel, David LaChapelle, Bharti Kher, Katharina Grosse, Peter Shuyff and Tobias Rehberger.

“The ocean, the sea, and the waves have had a big influence on my life. It is so important that people finally comprehend that there is something bigger than them. The ocean teaches us to be humble, to respect it, and to accept that we are all part of something greater.”
