Created in collaboration with ABB Robotics and Nagami, the Parley AIR Station / Blueprint Module is an end-to-end solution for PET plastic waste on islands and in remote regions. The system uses an industrial robot to transform a problem into solutions. Intercepted marine plastic debris is sorted, cleaned and processed on-site to create 3D printed Parley Ocean Plastic® furniture, objects and building structures which then can support local communities and schools.
Showcased in London at Selfridges SUPERMARKET, Parley presents a curated selection of furniture and homeware from Spanish design firm Nagami. Exclusive new items from other creators, designers and artists will be added soon.

Over the last ten years, Parley has built a Global Cleanup Network to intercept marine plastic waste in countries ranging from Sri Lanka and the Maldives to Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Our teams and volunteers collect huge amounts of waste plastic every month – from beaches and coastlines, from rivers, from fishermen and from community interception points where the public can get involved and learn about the problem firsthand.
With some of the collected plastic, we are able to give it new life – to transform what was previously worthless trash into Symbols of Change. We call it Parley Ocean Plastic®. Working with major brands, fashion designers and material suppliers, we have created a global demand which allows us to take plastic out of vulnerable areas where it might otherwise end up in the oceans. Today, we have a global supply chain linking some of the communities most at risk from plastic pollution with consumers who want to help.
Now, we’re taking the next step: closing the loop and eliminating the transport of these materials. The Parley Blueprint Module is designed to be added to Parley AIR Stations: our flagship educational tool that serve as collaboration hubs for ocean awareness, exploration and activism. Composed of repurposed modular shipping container systems, these spaces act as classrooms, screening spaces and workshops for local communities to interact, learn, access new technologies and fall in love with the oceans.
Deployed globally, Parley AIR Stations can help local communities to end the exploitation of informal waste pickers by offering them fair compensation and career opportunities, preventing the need to import a variety of materials and products from abroad, reducing carbon emissions and taking waste out of the environment. Intercepted marine debris is sorted, cleaned and processed on site for upcycling into 3D printed Ocean Plastic® furniture and other solid structures – keeping it out of the ocean while supporting local communities and schools with infrastructure.
Parley for the Oceans
Parley is the space where creators, thinkers and leaders come together to raise awareness for the beauty and fragility of the oceans and collaborate on projects that can end their destruction.
Parley for the Oceans addresses major threats towards our oceans, the most important ecosystem of our planet. We believe the power for change lies in the hands of the consumer – given we all have a choice – and the power to shape this new consumer mindset lies in the hands of the creative industries.
Artists, musicians, actors, filmmakers, fashion designers, journalists, architects, product inventors, and scientists have the tools to mold the reality we live in and to develop alternative business models and ecologically sensible products to give us earthlings an alternative choice, an everyday option to change something. To succeed, we need to find ways to synchronize the economic system of humankind with the ecosystem of nature. And make environmental protection fiscally lucrative for pacesetting major companies.
Parley has been created to accelerate a process of change that is already in progress. No other big movement in the history of humankind has developed faster than the environmental cause. We want to make sure we are fast enough to meet the ultimate deadline and turn the ship around before we lose a treasure we have only just started to explore and still don’t fully understand: the fantastic blue universe beneath us — The Oceans.
