Water is a survival imperative. So why do we bottle it in a material our blue planet can never digest? Americans alone throw away over 30 million plastic water bottles every year. The majority end up in landfills and the oceans. We teamed up with Soma to create a new kind of symbol and catalyst in the movement for change: a reusable water bottle that puts the power of collaboration and eco-innovation directly into the hands of consumers.
The sleeve of each Soma X Parley for the Oceans bottle is made from the equivalent of two recycled plastic bottles intercepted from remote islands and coastal communities. A proportion of every sale goes to support initiatives of the Parley Ocean Plastic Program (communication and education; direct impact; research and development; eco innovation) and implementation of the Parley AIR Strategy to Avoid, Intercept and Redesign plastic.
