Parley Talks: The Salon Art + Design
"The material is the message."
Suzanne Lee, founder of Biofabricate
On November 11, 2017, Parley Talks took place during The Salon Art + Design, held at the Park Armory in New York. Conversation focused on the future of design and the role of the creative, fashion and textile industries in driving solutions to marine plastic pollution. Speakers included Parley founder Cyrill Gutsch, legendary activist Captain Paul Watson (founder of Sea Shepherd), designer Ora Ito (Ora-ïto), artist and filmmaker Chris Jordan (Albatross), and biofabrication pioneer Suzanne Lee (Biofabricate and Modern Meadow).
A Material Revolution is in motion. To participate: shift your perspective, then help change the world. If we can imagine a better reality, we can create it.
Thank you to our speakers, hosts, and guests. Learn more about The Salon Art + Design.
