There are over 50 million passionate outdoor enthusiasts across the U.S. Our love of the outdoors can unite us — especially now.

Professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones has watched winters change drastically during his 45 years, witnessing more extreme weather, fewer snow days, and economic strain on mountain towns. In Purple Mountains, a film by Josh “Bones” Murphy presented by Protect Our Winters, he sets out on a physical and philosophical journey to understand how America became so divided on climate change, and to find common ground with fellow outdoor people across diverse political backgrounds. In hearing their stories, hopes and fears, Jeremy finds that even though we may disagree about climate policy, our shared values can bring us together.

Our outdoor playgrounds and life-giving ecosystems are facing the ultimate threat. Their future will be determined by the upcoming election. Watch along with us on October 30, and VOTE to protect what you love.

“What we stopped doing as Americans is talking to each other. I truly believe that we all want a clean, healthy environment. So I decided there’s only one way to find out, go meet my neighbors.”
